Discover the All-New Clarify PH₂OBIC from CARPRO

Having a sealant inside of a glass cleaner is an incredible convenience that Clarify PH₂OBIC offers. But it begs the question if other protection is needed? Or perhaps if itself is needed on cars with protection already. Today, we're excited to talk about those questions and determine if Clarify PH₂OBIC from CARPRO is something that you need!

What is Clarify PH₂OBIC?

Clarify PH₂OBIC is a glass cleaner and sealant in one. It combines the best properties of CARPRO’s Clarify and adds water repellency, making your glass cleaning tasks easier and more efficient. Imagine Clarify but phobic to water — hence the name Clarify PH₂OBIC. It’s a clever play on words that underscores its water-repellent properties. A simple application of this glass cleaner will cut through dirt and windshield grime while leaving a water beading protective layer behind.

What surfaces is Clarify PH₂OBIC safe on?

You can use Clarify PH₂OBIC on various types of glass:

• Ceramic-coated glass
• Bare glass
• Tinted glass (interior and exterior)

We have not found any type of glass that Clarify PH₂OBIC isn’t safe on, but we always recommend testing in an inconspicuous area on surfaces you are unsure of.

The only surface we would be careful with Clarify PH₂OBIC on is Nav screens. The screens themselves do not have any issues, but there are various car manufactures that put a protective screen on that can be damaged by both Clarify & Clarify PH₂OBIC.

Cleaning Performance

In our experience,  CARPRO Clarify is a bit stronger as a cleaner, making it ideal for the dirtiest situations professionals might encounter. However, for everyday cleaning, Clarify PH₂OBIC does an excellent job on its own, leaving a streak-free finish and making the glass slick to the touch.

I already have a sealant/coating on my glass. Do I need CARPRO Clarify?

While  CARPRO Clarify will not harm any surfaces that already have protection on it, we have found from our tests that it may not always be needed. If you already protect your vehicles with any other CARPRO sealants or coatings, then regular clarify will yield you better cleaning power in the day to day. With that being said, there are no negatives to applying CARPRO Clarify on top of pre-existing protection. It might just be redundant if the other products are already providing great protection.

How to apply CARPRO Clarify

Application

1. Choose Your Towel: We like to use the Cloud Buster towel because it doesn't have a spongy core, which means it won't absorb as much of the sealant, ensuring efficient use of the product.
2. Preparation: Shake the bottle well. Always wear gloves when handling any protective sealant or harsh cleaner to protect your skin.
3. Spray and Spread: Spray a couple of times on the glass and immediately spread it out and buff it in.
4. Buff It In: As you apply, you'll instantly feel the glass become slick. If needed, reapply a little more to any areas you might have missed.
5. Finish: For a final touch, use a dry side of the towel or a second towel to buff the glass for a streak-free finish.

Results

You can expect up to a month of longevity after a single application. Some cars may need an application more frequently depending on its exposure to elements but for how easy this product is to apply we have been thoroughly impressed with the results.

Additional Insights

• Wet or Dry Application: You can apply Clarify PH₂OBIC on wet or dry glass. In our test, we applied it during a rainstorm, and it held up perfectly even after three weeks.
• Wiper Chatter: We haven’t experienced any wiper chatter with Clarify PH₂OBIC, although this can depend on the type of wiper blades you use. A trick to prevent chatter is to apply a little Clarify PH₂OBIC directly to the wiper blades.

Conclusion

Clarify PH₂OBIC is a versatile and efficient glass cleaner and sealant. It’s perfect for those who want to boost their ceramic coating or just prefer a straightforward glass cleaning solution.
