Dr. Beasleys NSP 150 Heavy Cut Primer 8 oz
Remove heavy damage and prepare for coating with no panel wipe!
Get ready to save time and eliminate frustration with the Dr. Beasley NSP line of compounds! NSP stands for Nano Surface Primer but behind all the fancy acronyms and cool marketing jargon, let me tell you first hand what this actually means to us! What are the NSP compounds in simple terms? They are compounds that designed to "remove" swirls, scratches, oxidation, and water spots from your paintwork. So what makes them different from what you are using today? Nano Surface Primers are a new kind of automotive paintwork correction tech which not only removes the swirls, scratches, and spots but SIMULTANEOUSLY preps the paint with a high gloss ceramic coating foundation. What's more, NSP will not stain plastic or rubber trim.
There are TWO distinct advantages with NSP technology.
The 1ST is "nanogel" which is the lubricant between the abrasives. The HUGE difference between this and every other compound is that NSP tech uses ZERO oil or silicone of any kind. Other compounds and polishes use mineral oil or some sort of lubricant which causes trouble for the bonding of ceramic coatings and many sealants to your paint. The amazing thing about NSP compounds is that with their proprietary nanogel tech, there is ZERO panel wipe needed! You read that right! We tested it for ourselves and CQUARTZ UK is still performing flawlessly.
The 2ND is their microsphere abrasives. Abrasives are what actually shaves a tiny layer of damaged clear coat off the top of the surface, in essence removing the swirls, spots, and defects. These microspheres are not the DAT or SMAT technology of yesteryear. Rather, microspheres are carefully engineered and controlled in size down to the micron level to achieve a precise cut that minimizes the amount of clear coat removed and maximizes gloss. Because microsphere abrasives are perfectly round, they feature an infinite number of cutting facets that accelerate correction speed.
NSP 150 is an inorganic heavy cut primer, engineered to not only remove damage from your paint but to prime for ceramic nano-coating application. It removes deep scratches, builds thickness and lays a foundation for nano. Use NSP 150 to tackle severe scratches and other defects. Finish with NSP 95 or NSP 45.
Each NSP features a different size of microsphere to achieve a different kind of result:
- NSP 150 - 1.5μm Microspheres (Removes Deep Scratches)
- NSP 95 - .95μm Microspheres (Removes Swirls & Scratches)
- NSP 45 - .45μm Microspheres (Finishes & Produces Gloss)
Features:
- Removes heavy defects
- Provides Sio2/Tio2 foundation
- Provides a ceramic primer foundation for ceramic coating.
- No panel wipe needed.
- Does NOT stain plastic or rubber trim.
- Microsphere abrasive technology.
- Nanogel technology.
- Body Shop Safe.
- Zero oils or silicones.
- Made in the USA.
Application:
- Prep vehicle: Wash with CARPRO Reset or your favorite car wash soap, then decontaminate with CARPRO Iron X and clay as needed
- Visually inspect paint using a bright light to determine severity of defects.
- Based on your inspection, select NSP 45, 95, or 150. For less severe swirls and light oxidation, use NSP 95. For light micro marring or a finishing polish, use NSP 45. If aggressive cut is needed then select 150.
- Apply one small blob or 2 small pea size dots on a 5" pad. (or 3 dots for a 6" pad)
- Place face of pad against paint and turn machine on low, spreading the product over a 2 square foot area.
- Increase speed to Medium / Med-Hi and conduct 5~7 section passes using slow arm movement.
- Wipe off residue with microfiber towel. Residue will be easy to wipe off. If it is not then you have used excessive product or not broken the polish down fully.
- Inspect your results. If your goal has been achieved then move onto the next section and repeat steps 4~7. If you require more cut then move up to a NSP 150 or a heavier cutting pad.
- After vehicle is complete you may repeat these steps with NSP 45 if a higher gloss finish is needed. Oftentimes NSP 95 will finish down to such a high level of gloss that this is not needed but check and assess.
- Wipe all panels once more a clean, dry microfiber towels and continue to application of your preferred ceramic coating! No IPA wipe or wait time is required!
Pad & Machine Recommendations:
- Nano Surface Primers are compatible with most pads and machines. If you are unsure whether a machine or pad is compatible, follow the above instructions and test on a small area before proceeding to the rest of the vehicle.
- We prefer the Sky's The Limit Spider pads or Lake Country HDO pads.
Tips:
- Not every job will need all three NSPs, so always perform a test panel first to determine the necessary NSP combination for the paintwork’s correction needs.
- Do not use in direct sunlight.
- According to Dr. Beasleys - Nano Surface Primers are compatible with all coating brands.
