New leather surfaces should be treated with COLOURLOCK Leather Shield within the first three years to protect against wear, abrasion, and discoloration caused by clothing (dye transfer). Areas such as driver’s seats—particularly the entry bolsters of sports seats and high-support cushions—are most susceptible to early signs of wear. Applying Leather Shield helps maintain your leather’s appearance and durability.

For optimal care:

• Driver’s seat: Treat every three months.
• Other leather surfaces: Treat every six to twelve months.

How to Use:

Step 1: Clean
Before applying Leather Shield, ensure the leather is clean to prevent dirt from adhering to the surface. For soiled areas, use COLOURLOCK Mild Leather Cleaner. The foam dispenser cleans more efficiently than liquids, minimizes product use, and prevents over-wetting, which could harden the leather after drying.

1. Apply foam to the Cleaning Sponge.
2. Clean the leather surface thoroughly, using a circular motion with the Cleaning Brush for ingrained dirt.
3. Wipe away any residue with a slightly damp cloth.

Step 2: Protect
Once the leather is clean and dry, apply COLOURLOCK Leather Shield to protect against wear and discoloration. The Leather Shield is specially formulated for heavily used areas, such as driver’s seats, to slow down wear and prevent color transfer from clothing.

1. Lightly moisten a terry cloth with Leather Shield.
2. Apply to all leather surfaces, focusing on high-wear areas.
3. For driver’s seats, apply every three months; for other surfaces, every six to twelve months.
